Master the new gmail app : part 1
Instead of writing a lot i'll let the pictures do the talking for me.These are the 10 most important features and tips in the new gmail app:
1.THE COLOURFUL AND SMART LABELS
Gmail introduced a new label system.These labels basically sort out your emails in a better way.
Below the labels you'll find a new notification if auto-sync is disabled.
Below the notification all your e-mails appear.
2.THE BASIC OPTIONS
Once you press and hold on an e-mail they turn into check boxes and the following options appear.
3.SWIPE TO ARCHIVE
The new interface allows users to swipe and archive the unrequired messages.
These messages can be sent to 'Archived' folder or can be deleted directly depending upon the option set by the user.
Archived message will be available under 'archived' folder but deleted message will not be seen anymore.
3.SWIPE LEFT TO REVEAL SHORTCUTS
On swiping from the left corner a new menu appears having all th required shortcuts to access the basic options.This is my personal favorite feature.
With this feature one can jump from one mail to other mail effortlessly.
4.ASSIGNING FAVORITES
This is a very small but pretty useful feature.
If you are expecting an email from someone or the email means to you a lot then make it as your fav. by tapping the 🌟 Icon.
Your conversations will now appear in the improtant folder.
5.TONS OF OPTIONS IN A MAIL
Maybe it's the right time to explore the options that gmail gives if you haven't.
Some options like 'print' are specific to android kitkat otherwise almost all the options are available on other OS.
